Four of Cups

My thoughts- This guy is so unhappy with what he has, and so used to having it, that he doesn’t see the gift being given to him. much like the Ace of Cups, a mysterious hand is offering up a cup from a cloud. This card fills me with disappointment and forlorn. Why isn’t he seeing the other cup?

The book-  The Four of Cups does not necessarily represent a specific response; it is more about the feeling of being dissatisfies.

The Universal Waite Card- Shows a man who is unhappy with the options set in front of him in the form of cups. He has either lost interest in the ideal-represented by the hand present a cup, reminiscent of the gift given in the Ace of Cups- or he has not yet seen it. In this image, it is not completely clear whether he will give in to apathy or if he will see a new possibility.

Core Meaning- Dissatisfaction with reality.

This card so speaks to me right now. I’ve been reading some really good fiction… reality just doesn’t always measure up.But on the flip side, I am happy with my reality as well.
